About QRSalt
QRSalt makes QR codes and short links for things that get printed: menus, packaging, signs, flyers, business cards. The first version went live in September 2026.
What it does
- Static codes, free and unlimited
- The address is inside the pattern, so the code needs no account and no server of ours.
- Dynamic codes, for anything costly to reprint
- A short link we keep, so the destination can change after printing. Free holds 3; paid plans start at $5 a month.
- Scans counted without following anybody
- By day, place and device. No IP address is stored, and repeat scanners are recognised for one day only.
What we promise
A printed code outlives the plan that made it. These are the terms that matter when it does.
- Unlimited scans on every plan
- No per-scan fees, Free included, and a busy code is never throttled.
- Cancelling deletes nothing
- Every code works for at least 90 days after a paid plan ends. After that, only a code unscanned for 90 days pauses, with a reminder first. Subscribe again and it all comes back.
- Your data is yours to take
- Export codes, history, scans, form answers and files as one archive. Deleting the account gives you 30 days to change your mind.
Where it runs
- One server in New York holds the app, the database and uploads, with encrypted copies kept off it.
- The public site sits behind Cloudflare, which absorbs attacks and reports the rough place a scan came from.
- Scans through a customer's own domain reach our server directly.

Who runs it
QRSalt is built and run by , a small company registered in Norway. Paid customers are answered first.
Write to support@qrsalt.com, or report a QR code that’s being misused. A code leading to phishing or malware is switched off as soon as it’s confirmed.
Everything is public: terms of service, refunds and cancellation and the data processing agreement.
