QR code for your business card

Fill in your details for a vCard that saves straight to the phone, or paste a link. Free to download, dynamic if you want it to survive a job change.

Every field adds data. A short card scans from further away.

Your code is drawn as you type.

Your code appears here as you type.

Business cards

Why this one should be dynamic

A business card is printed in boxes of five hundred and outlives at least one detail on it. A vCard code saves your contact details in one tap; a dynamic link code means the box does not become waste the day your number, title or company changes.

One tap

Straight into their contacts

A vCard code fills in name, company, phone, email and website at once. No typing, no photo of a card that never gets looked at again.

Job changes

The card outlives the details on it

Point a dynamic code at your profile page and update the page instead of reordering the cards.

Follow-up

See whether cards get scanned

Scan counts after an event are the cheapest measure there is of whether the conference was worth attending.

Before it goes to print

The spec sheet for this job

A code that scans on a screen can still fail on paper. These are the numbers that decide it.

Print one at final size, on the final material, and scan it from where a real person will stand - across a table, at arm's length, from the pavement. Do that before the run, not after. It is the only test that matters, and it takes a minute.

Minimum size
15 mm square, 18 mm is safer
Placement
Back of the card, one corner, clear margin
Quiet zone
4 modules of blank card on every side
Colour
Dark on light - spot colour on dark stock often fails
Finish
Avoid heavy gloss and foil over the pattern
Data
Keep the vCard short; more fields means a denser code

Our policy

Static codes never expire. Dynamic codes work while you have a plan.

A static QR code carries its destination inside the pattern itself. There is no redirect, no server, nothing anyone can switch off - so the ones you make here are yours forever, free, with no account and no expiry date. If what you need is a code that outlives us, make it static and print it.

A dynamic code is different: it points at a redirect we run on your behalf every time somebody scans it, which is what lets you change the destination after printing. That runs while you have a plan. Cancel and it keeps working for 30 more days, we email you before anything changes, and nothing is ever deleted - your codes, links and scan history all wait for you.

Questions

Business cards, answered

Should I use a vCard code or a link?
A vCard if you want the details saved instantly and offline. A link if you would rather send people to a page you can edit later. Many people print both, one per side.
Why does my vCard code look so dense?
Every field adds data, and more data means more modules in the same square. Trim it to name, company, phone, email and one URL and it becomes much easier to scan at card size.
How small can a business card QR code be?
Fifteen millimetres is the practical floor, and only with a short payload, high contrast and a clean quiet zone. Below that, cheap phone cameras start to fail.
Can I change the details after the cards are printed?
Only if the code is dynamic and points at a page. A vCard code has the details baked into the pattern, so changing them means new cards.
What happens if I stop paying?
A dynamic card code keeps redirecting to your last saved page. Editing and analytics pause; the cards in your wallet keep working.
